Who’s the killer on Harper’s Island?

If you’re like me you’ve been watching CBS’ murder mystery show “Harper’s Island”. Yes, I know the show started off with a soap opera feeling, but I’m really glad to see it evolve into more of a fun, thriller type of show.
Now if you haven’t been watching the show and plan to watch it at a later date, please re-frame from reading any further.
Ok, here come the spoilers!
On every fan’s mind at the moment is who the killer is? We know that John Wakefield can account for some of the murders on the island, because he has been revealed to us, but the last episode that aired hinted that a second killer is at large.
The popular belief is that Jimmy is the second killer and the way the show is going I feel like it’s pushing its audience into that direction. This makes me think that Jimmy is not the killer, I mean it just seems a little too obvious to me.
Here are some things that can work against Jimmy being the killer: Why would the Sheriff give his life for a man he was investigating as a possible Wakefield copycat? To expand on that, why would he want Abby to be with Jimmy if he was truly a killer?
If Jimmy is the killer to explain the Sheriff giving his life would probably go something like this. The Sheriff was given only a few last moments with his daughter before his death and those moments were precious to him. Wakefield most likely threatened him to stop him from saying anything about Jimmy’s part in the murders or he would cut his time short. Because, all of us who watched it, knew that Wakefield was listening to the whole conversation.
Those are only theories and I’m still not 100 percent convinced that Jimmy is the second killer. If he is, I think that would be a misstep in the writing, because the way they set it up made the audience know before the end of the show and I hope they have a few more tricks up their sleeves.
Now looking at all of the people that are left I think we can narrow down who might be a killer. We have Abby, Henry, Trish, Sully, Danny, Madison, Shea, Sully and Jimmy. The ones I think it’s safe to rule out are Madison, Shea, Trish, Danny and Abby. This leaves us with Henry and Jimmy. I was going to put Sully down as a possible killer, but that’s a long shot.
Yeah, I’m one of those people that are leaning towards Henry as being the possible second killer. The guy has a lot of issues and his past was never really explained. We know Henry never felt welcomed by Trish’s family, both his parents died or did they? and it was his idea to have the wedding on the island. You can look at Henry and see numerous motives that can be used to make him the killer.
In the series we see Henry easily handling a gun, able to fight Shane who is half his size and able to control the group of survivors to do anything he says. Then we look back to early in the series when Trish’s ex-boyfriend is killed – Henry had a lot of motive there and I wouldn’t be surprised that it was actually him who set up the gun.
I believe in the end Jimmy will be the good guy and Henry will be revealed as the bad guy. I think there will be a final showdown between Abby and Henry and I also think that Abby, Shea, Madison, Trish and Jimmy will survive. That’s only if Henry is the killer and if he’s not then it’s a whole different ball game. Yet, one person I am almost 100 percent positive will survive is Abby, I really don’t think she’ll be the sole survivor, but she has to survive.
I could be wrong, I mean watch there be no big twist and Jimmy is the second killer or Wakefield is actually working alone. If that happens that means the show won’t end really on a high note.
If you haven’t been watching Harper’s Island, I would try to find a way to watch the episodes, because is something different and it’s really kept me entertained. I will warn you, the first couple of episodes are not that great, but they get better and better as the show goes on.

I really, truely thought I was the only one who watched Harper's Island, nevermind thought about all the possibilities. Haha. Thank God there is someone else out there. And omg, there's been quite a few times I leaned towards Henrey as the killer. Also, I'm made about Cal and Chloe getting killed off, but I like how Chloe wouldn't let Wakefield kill her, and how she wanted to be with Cal.

Yeah the I thought the Cal death scene was really raw for the show, but it was the best. It sucks though b/c Chloe and Cal were great characters. I think more people should watch the show. It's great that at least one other person does.

Yeah, it was pretty raw. I was actually a little surprised. I can't wait until Saturday to see the end unveiled.

I don't think I am as willing to rule Shea out as a suspect as you are.. I go back and forth between Shea and Henry..
Can't wait to see how it all wraps up on Saturday!

The thing with shea is why would she let her father die? Also, would she have been that upset when Madison went missing? But thinking about it she could be, if you look at it like this: She was putting on an act when Madison went missing to keep the people on the island and she hated her father for bringing in the new step mother into the family? I don't know, interesting though. Watch Sully be the killer.

Watch Trish be the killer and surprise everyone! But that would never happen, she never would've killed her father.

I have HI on tivo and I just watched the first episode from tonight. And I HAD to comment you. I CAN NOT BELIEVE it was Henry!!!! But I'm really glad it wasn't Jimmy. And Henry being Wakefield's kid...OMG!!!! Awesome plot twist!!!

I knew it! It was the little things that Henry did or was able to do that made me tag him as the killer. This show was great, why can't they have more shows like this on TV?

I know. It was so entertaining and always kept me on the edge of my seat. I was so mad when the cop said they all died. I was like WTF?!?! But then the end cleared it up and I was really happy Jimmy and Abby survived.

Yeah ... when the guy say's You survived Harper's Island, I felt like everyone who died was going to come out and the whole thing was a game show. I was glad that Abby and Jimmy survived, but I hated how Sully went out. Sully had a lot of development through the series and I thought he should of put up more of a fight. Henry though, that guy is just creepy and weird.

I'm also sad that Danny got killed. I really liked him as a character. BUt at least he put up a fight for Shea and Madison.
