Sony Is Unleashing Venom

Sony pictures is in deep development on the "Spider-Man" spin off based on the Venom, the villain that received lack of attention in "Spider-Man 3".
The Hollywood Reporter has already reported that Sony has taken a look at one draft that was written by Jacob Estes (he wrote "Mean Creek"), after they read the draft that quickly moved to seeking new writers to pen other drafts.
Rumors are that Topher Grace who played Venom in "Spider-Man 3" might be taking the role, but everything is unclear and I rather someone else be casted into the role of Eddie Brock/Venom.
All I know is they can do so much with this movie. In "Spider-Man 3" he was just a host and it wasn't until the very end we actually get to see Venom attached to Eddie Brock.
His character in "Spider-Man 3" was underdeveloped and lacked everything that makes him Venom in the comic books.
Personally I would really enjoy watching a "Venom" movie, but it really has to be everything the fans want.
Due to movies like "The Dark Knight" and "Iron Man," that gave fans all they wanted, will make other comic book movies face numerous challenges.

This is what I mean about over using. I commented on the Spider-Man post so go read it. All the complaining about Venom having no screen time has resulted on him getting his own movie.
